Sunday 1st January: traditional dancing out at The Cherry Tree, Steventon with Icknield Way.

Saturday 3rd March: Vale Islanders’ Ale, Buckland.

Saturday 17th March: Icknield Way Ale, East Hendred.

Sunday 15th April: Danced at Head of River rowing event in Abingdon.

Saturday 21st April: Danced at Wallingford’s St George’s Day Celebrations.

Sunday 22nd April: Danced in Oxford at what used to be the Oxford Folk Festival but is now the Oxford Folk Weekend.  Stands at the Castle and at the Bear but spent a long time in between sheltering from the rain (in the Blenheim).

Monday 23rd April (St George’s Day): Danced at the Old Anchor, The King’s Head and Bell, and the Punch Bowl, finishing with a bit of a music session in the back room of the Punch Bowl.  

Tuesday 1st May: Oxford May Morning, one of the wettest ever,  but still very enjoyable.  Brief appearances on both British and Ukrainian TV!

Thursday 3rd May: Danced with Old Speckled Hen at The Prince of Wales, Shippon.

Wednesday 9th May: Danced at the installation of the new Civic Mayor of Abingdon at the Guildhall, and afterwards at the Kings Head & Bell.

Thursday 10th May: Danced with Oxford at the Cherry Tree and The North Star, Steventon.

Saturday 12 May: Danced at St Nicolas school fete. 

Sunday 20th May: Danced at Cherry Tree Beer Festival, Steventon.

Saturday 26 May: Danced at Harwell Feast as well as joining in their very long procession.  New dance for the Jubilee (‘Diamond Royal’ by Rob Charlton) practised for the first time and then danced in public for the first time (surely a record).  Then back to Abingdon to dance under County Hall, newly refurbished.

Saturday 2nd June: Danced at Abingdon Dance Festival, Fun in the Park, Abbey Grounds.  Some of us also judged a children’s poster competition.

Sunday 3rd June: Danced at the Ock Street street party, then at the Traditional Bun Throwing to celebrate Jubilee of HM the Queen.  After that danced at the Anchor.  Got absolutely soaked to the skin.  Brief appearance on local TV news.

Monday 4th June: Danced at Long Furlong party and then at the Dog House.

Tuesday 5th June: Danced at Sunningwell Festival, before an outdoor concert by Spiers & Boden.

Sunday 10th June: Danced at Eastbury Fete.

Saturday 16th June: Mayor’s Day with  guest sides Winster Morris Dancers and The Vale Islanders.  Roger Cox was re-elected Mayor of Ock Street for 2012/2013.  Results were: Roger Cox 93 votes, Robert Beaver 53 votes, Harry Knight 37 votes, Dave Beaver 17 votes.

Saturday 30th June: Danced at Clifton Hampden Fete.

Thursday 12th July: Pub tour, Red Lion and Wheatsheaf, Drayton.  Poured with rain outside, so danced inside both pubs!

Thursday 19th July: Pub tour, Wallingford.  Outside the Coach & Horses, but, by popular request, inside the Coachmakers Arms, and a music session with the local folkies afterwards.

Saturday 28th July: Wedding, Kingston Bagpuize House.  Free beer and a mate’s rate fee as this was the landlord of the Anchor’s wedding.

Thursday 2nd August: Danced at Prince of Wales, Shippon.  Music afterwards.  Sunday, 5th August: Lunchtime pub tour at the Punch Bowl and Old Anchor.  Wet day for dancing!  Music at the Anchor (indoors) afterwards.

Saturday 11th August: Danced at a wedding which had taken over the Dog House Frilford for the whole day. 

Saturday 18th August: Danced at Hockey Grandmasters Tournament, Oxford.

Sunday 26th August: King’s Head and Bell beer Festival.

Sunday 2nd September: Wallingford Bunkfest.  Three out of our four spots were on the main stage.

Saturday 8th September: Heritage Day. Danced with Vale Islanders on the Square, plus a bit of music afterwards outside the Punch Bowl.

Saturday 22nd September: Danced at International Dinner, Drayton Golf Club. 

Sunday 21st October: Danced and played at Cherry Tree Beer Festival, Steventon.

Saturday 1st December: Abingdon Christmas Extravaganza Parade (11am) followed by several dancing spots with visits to the Kings Head & Bell and the Punch Bowl in between.

Monday 17th December: Mummers Town Tour – Punch Bowl, Broad Face, Nags Head, Kings Head & Bell, Old Anchor, Conservative Club, Brewery Tap

Tuesday 18th December: Mummers Out of Town Tour -Admiral Benbow (Milton), Cherry Tree (Steventon), Fox (Steventon), North Star (Steventon), Wheatsheaf (Drayton), Red Lion (Drayton)

Mummers collected a total of £436.52 for the Abingdon Breakaway Club.
