  • Thursday 1st January:  New Years Day tour, Abingdon town centre. 2pm Market Place, 3pm Broad Face.  Drinks at the Punch Bowl before and after.  A really good audience turn out, especially on the Market Place despite the bitterly cold wind.
  • Saturday 4th April: Abingdon Easter Eggstravaganza: Danced on the Market Square at 12.30 to a good crowd, retired to the Punch Bowl to rest up before our next performance at 3.15, only to be tracked down by the organisers at around 2pm to be told that the rest of the event had been cancelled before all the stalls and gazebos blew away in the high winds of Storm Dave. So we stayed in the pub for a while longer, and blamed Dave for having to drink more beer.
  • Sunday 12th April: Oxford Folk Festival: 11.00-11.45 Westgate Roof Terrace with Knights of King Ina, Owlswick and Downes on Tour; 12.30-13.15 Radcliffe Camera with Headington Quarry, Taylor’s and Downes on Tour; 14.00-14.20 Broad St outside Balliol with Windsor and Headington Quarry – we had to leave in time for our musicians to get to their session; 14.30-1600 Music session at the Royal Blenheim (ATMD and Friends), luckily missing the hailstorm and rain, and having the pleasure of being joined by a couple of young Bampton musicians; 16.15-17.00 Oxford Castle with OBJ, Aldbrickham, Kirtlington, Borderline. An enjoyable day.
  • Thursday 23rd April: St George’s Day evening tour, Broad Face 7.30, Punch Bowl 8.00.
  • Thursday 7th May: The Crown, Chilton with Old Speckled Hen.  Enjoyable as always, with music session afterwards.
  • Saturday 16th May: Cake and Ale Festival, Abingdon.  Danced on Market Place at mid-day to a good audience.
  • Monday 18th May: Abingdon Town Mayor Making, St Helen’s Church 7pm.
  • Monday 25th May: Harwell Feast Procession 11am, 2 dance spots at 12 and 2pm.  Then over to Bampton for tea and dancing from 6pm as guests of Bampton Traditional, along with Windsor and Chiltern Hundreds.  The temperature this day broke all records for May, peaking at 34°C and not getting much cooler in the evening, so we did wilt a bit towards the end of Bampton.
  • Thursday 11th June: Pub Tour: Cherry Tree, Steventon 7.30
  • Thursday 18th June 10.30 Illustrated talk and dancing at Baptist Church Ock St.
  • Saturday 20th June: Mayor’s Day (election of the Mayor of Ock Street): 11:00 Procession into town; 11:15 Black Swan; 11:45 Abbey Gateway; 12:15 The Broad Face; 12:50 County Hall; 13:30 Lunch break; 15:00 Brewery Cottages, Coopers Lane; 15:45 Brewery Tap; 16:00 Close of Polling Station at Brewery Tap; 16:15 Election of Mayor of Ock Street, followed by chairing and dancing (Brewery Tap); 18:30 White Horse; 19:30 Brewery Tap  (finish).  Guests Summertown and Oxford.  Result: Harry Knight 131 votes, Rob Charlton 94.  A hot day with a few showers, but nothing like as hot as the heat wave the following week.
  • Saturday 4th July: Westminster Abbey School Fete. An early start meant we did not have the customary warm-up in the pub. We danced outside and dragged many tourists into the fete, then did two shows, with a nice long interval in between. Very hot but not quite heatwave conditions, and as ever a very enjoyable occasion. One car load stayed for the Evensong service.
  • Wednesday 8th July: Prince of Wales, Shippon with Armaleggan. Due to the third heatwave of the summer, this was cancelled at short notice by both teams.
